Day 10: Boone, NC

Day 10 of the things I love: Boone, NC
It's where I spent 4 of the best years of my life.
A college student, finding my way.
It's where I got my degree.
Where I made lifelong friendships and spent days laughing with dear friends.
Where we gathered on snow days to drink beer outside and sled down hills.
Where we spent nights on ski slopes.
Where we stayed out late at frat parties or hanging at Klondike with sorority sisters.
Where we gathered in the lobby to cry and laugh together.
We tailgated for football games.
We bundled up on snowy mornings to walk to class.
We enjoyed the perfect summers.
We smiled as we drove over the top of 321 or 421 to see the beautiful views as we came into town...
We walked the streets of Blowing Rock and ran the loop through downtown Boone in search of perfect Spring Break bodies, ha!
We danced at Greek Week. We sang. We laughed. We loved.
One of the most beautiful places... Boone is a little slice a heaven and holds some special memories for me.

I love Boone. xo

  1. I have fond memories of Boone, too. Nothing quite like yours, but good ones, nonetheless. Back in 1998-2000, one of my best friends moved back home to Mountain City, TN & whenever I would visit we would hang out in Boone. Love the town. We got our tongues pierced (just a phase...thankfully) at a place called Expressions. Still have the scar to prove it. HA!
I really like Boone, too. I would love to visit again, this time with my husband & son, though. :)
