5 months!
Happy 5 months, sweet Baker!
You are precious, little fella. We just love you to pieces (especially your sister who couldn't bear to not be in the pictures with you!).
You are such a big boy, weighing in at almost 20 lbs! We laugh and say you are just about to catch up with your sister. We were at the doctor this past... you had your first ear infection and the scales read 19.6lbs! Whew.
You have the sweetest way about you and your personality is really starting to shine. You love to look and play with toys. You smile and giggle constantly. You love to bounce, love your playmat and grab any toy you can. You roll over all the time and push up on your arms like you are trying to crawl somewhere.
You do pretty good in your bumbo seat and have started eating in it occasionally. We tried rice cereal a few times and you did not love it. However, you love baby oatmeal. Right now, I am giving that to you once a day with a spoon. You are still breastfed 4 -5 times a day and take a bottle of formula whenever we are out or the house is too crazy for you to nurse!
You are wearing size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes. You are so darn handsome and have the prettiest bright blue eyes!!
We all adore you so very much and the girls LOVE having a little brother!
We spent a good bit of time at the beach this past month and you were such a trooper. You are a laid back fella and I am so grateful that you go with the flow!
(Here you are with your cousin, Bentley... your running buddy!)
You are a pretty good sleeper, although, I believe we hit a growth spurt last week as you spent a few nights getting up for a feeding. You go to bed at 8pm and usually get up around 7am. You take 2 big naps during the day, around 9am and 2pm. You sometimes get a cat nap while we eat dinner. You still love to be swaddled and love your basket!
You are the light of our lives and have brought such joy to our family. I am loving every minute spent with you and watching you grow. I love your sweet smiles, the way you grab hold so tight of my hand when I am holding you, the way your eyes light up when you see us. You are my heart, sweet boy.
Happy 5 months, darling! We love you!

1st grade!
Chloe's first day of school was yesterday, and off she went to 1st grade.
She barreled down the stairs yesterday morning shortly after 6am, ready for school. She couldn't wait to see her friends and get to know her teacher!
(Sissy didn't want to be left out of the pictures... and it is worth noting, Chloe very much wanted Saylor to match her on her first day of school, ha!)
We loaded up and walked her into school!
No nerves at all and so excited!
Sweet friends:
Happy first day of school to our first grader!

Sweet babies.
Last night, post bath time, I put Baker down in Saylor's crib so I could get her dressed and ready for bed. Say immediately wanted in with her brother. Cue the preciousness. I pray they always love each other this much.

Small things.
Last night, around 11pm, I heard cries coming from the monitor. I woke and looked at the monitor, and found Saylor sitting up in her bed, crying. Very unlike her, so I immediately hopped out of bed.
I went upstairs and picked her out of her crib without a word. I snuggled her into me with her beloved blankie and we rocked until I felt her slow, deep breaths return.
I got up and walked back to her bed and carefully laid her back down and covered her with her blankie. I started walking out of the room and heard "I love you" from Saylor. I turned back to her and said "I love you, sweet girl," and closed her door.
Be. Still. My. Heart. (and her sweet little 21 month old self).
