Life.

I'm pretty sure I said in my last post that I had posts coming. Well coming didn't happen, and as a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure the only time I have sat down at this computer in the past few weeks is to respond to emails about wreaths, or as my dear friend and her husband call it, "are you wreathing?" Yes, somehow, it has turned into a verb. My business (is it even a business or should I say hobby?) has taken on a life of its own. When kids nap, I sit down to make wreaths or respond to emails. When kids go to bed, I try to crank out a wreath or two before my sweet husband summons me to bed for hang out time. I get up earlier then ever to get it all done.

Life has been busy. Just plain busy. My kids are sweet and precious and keep us on our toes. Now that Baker is on the move (and into everything), I don't have much time left. Thankfully, my tots are great sleepers and go to bed early and nap consistently. We maintain a pretty normal schedule from day to day, and still find time for mommy to go to the gym and the kids to play outside.

In other news, we celebrated a birthday last week. Chloe turned 7! We took her to Atlanta to the American Girl Store to pick out a doll and have dinner at the store. She had a wonderful time and has toted her doll around since our return. She named her Katie, changes her outfits constantly, and insists she joins us at most meals or in the car.

We also visited with some of our very best friends while we were there and really enjoyed our time with them! When we returned from Atlanta, we had a small celebration (ie. cupcakes!) with my parents who had been here keeping the babies while we were gone. On Monday, her actual birthday, I took chick-fil-a to school for lunch and strawberry cupcakes for her class. We ended the day with a family dinner!

This past weekend Sean and I had a date! It was so much fun! A sweet girl from church babysat and we had a ball. We are also going to San Diego next week!!! I cannot wait. Sean is flying out for work on Sunday and I am flying out to meet him on Wednesday morning. My mom and my MIL are coming down to keep the kids while we are gone. We haven't been away since I was about 6 months pregnant with Baker and I am really looking forward to some QT with the hubs.

Happy Monday, friends!

  1. It's hard to not let a hobby turned business take over your life! I can relate. Make time for you though!
