8 months!

Happy 8 months, sweet Saylor!
You are the light of my life....

I can't believe you are 8 months old. Where has the time gone? You are a doll.
You are getting so big. I would guess you weigh around 18lbs now. Hard to believe I brought a barely 7lb peanut home from the hospital. You are still in size 2 diapers and where mostly 6-12 month and 9 month clothes. You still rock your chunky little arms and legs and mommy loves them!
You are still breastfed and I have introduced a bottle with formula one or two times a day. You love to eat yogurt and Cheerios. You love most vegetables, with the exception of green beans, and you love all fruit. Your feeding schedule looks a bit like this:
Nurse first thing in the morning
Bottle with rice cereal around 10am
Yogurt and maybe some veggies around 1
Nurse or bottle around 4
Vegetables and fruit for dinner
Nurse around 7:30 before bed

Here you are feeding yourself Puffs....
drinking from a sippy cup (you love to drink cold water!)
You love your crib and have been such a wonderful sleeper. You still nap twice a day, usually 2 hours... and go to bed between 7:30 - 8 each night. You get up around 7 each morning.
(mommy loves to sneak in and watch you sleep... or watch you on the monitor and take your picture :)
You love to play with toys and will sit and play contently for 30 minutes to an hour sometimes.

You seem to have no interest in crawling yet, but try to scoot your bottom when you want to go somewhere. Here you are attempting to crawl at the beach...

Speaking of beach, you are a beach bum.

But no so much a boat rider. You were good when we were moving, but oh the life jacket. You did not love the life jacket (ha!).
You are quite the little talker and you seem to know just what you are saying. Every now and then we can make something out, ha! We've heard a mama and bye bye a time or two. You are trying to get the wave down pat with the "bye bye" as well. Too cute.
You are still very much a mommy's girl, and besides your daddy, won't let anyone else hold you.
(daddy says you're rotten, but I don't mind, ha!)
We traveled so much this past month and you have been so great. You have slept in 5 different places, different pack and plays, your moses basket, and been in the car for hours on end. I am so thankful you are such a sweet little lady bug. Your Uncle Jake got married this month, and you made an appearance at the wedding, although the crowd and heat was a bit much for you.
I love spending every single day with you and love every single laugh, smile, snuggle and hug. I love your excitement when Daddy or I walk in a room. I love the way you open your mouth when I kiss your little lips. I love that you put your hands on my face when I lay you in bed beside me.
You are beautiful. You are smart. You are loved.

Happy 8 months, my darling girl. I will love you forever.
