My crock pot was a wedding gift from my mom, and oh, how I have loved it. It has helped me to expand my recipes and makes for a wonderful home cooked meal on a cold night.

Oh how I love to travel. Hubs and I have gone some pretty fun places over the years and made some of the most amazing memories.

The Great Wall of China

Xi'an

Lake Tahoe, CA

Napa Valley, CA

Sydney, Australia

Cairns, Australia (Great Barrier Reef)

And places not so far, in between.... Savannah, NOLA, Orlando, Charleston, San Fran, NYC, the beach and the lake...

And many more adventures to come (maybe not for awhile though, since now we have little kiddo's to raise! Ha!)

Day 1: Sundays

In honor of the month of love, each day will feature something I love... 
Happy February, friends.

Day 1 of the things I love: Sundays

Sundays are wonderful days. From start to finish, Sundays usually go down as my favorite of the week. I love getting up on Sunday, drinking a hot cup of tea while my husband makes me breakfast in bed. Chloe watches cartoons to ring in her Sunday morning. I feed and snuggle up with Saylor before I put her down for her morning nap while the mad dash to "get ready and get to church before the music starts" begins. We get ready, I dress the girls (usually in matching attire) and off we go. 

I love walking in as the music is beginning and everyone is standing. We jump right in to the praise and worship and enjoy the worshipping of our sweet Jesus. 


We hop in the car and head home... half the time, I can talk Sean into letting us stop for lunch, always protesting, "We always went to lunch after church when I was growing up! :)"


After lunch, nap time ensues. Nap time is serious business at our house, especially on Sunday. Everyone, Sean and I included, dive into our beds, get under the covers and doze off for an afternoon of rest. 

After nap, outside we go... When it's nice out, we spend the days outside, playing. Days like this past Sunday are perfect. It was a beautiful 72 degrees here, so the afternoon was spent with chairs out in driveways, sitting around with neighbors, while kids ran around and played. This lasted well into the evening, as we found ourselves still sitting in chairs, and fire pits going, as the sundown brought cooler air. Cheers to Sundays!
